*Getting around KGP is becoming a little easier. 🚌*
A new *Campus Bus Service* is now available for students, faculty, staff, residents, and other members of the IIT Kharagpur community, connecting major academic, residential, and important locations across the campus.
At present, the service operates *from Monday to Friday*, with several buses running across three designated routes:
*Route 1 – Blue Line*First departure from RP at *7:35 AM* *Route 2 – Orange Line*
First departure from SBP at *7:30 AM* *Route 3 – Violet Line*
Departures from Faculty Quarter at *9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 3:30 PM, 5:35 PM, and 6:35 PM*
Depending on the route and campus demand, bus services generally conclude around *6:00–6:30 PM*.
To help the campus community become familiar with the routes, stops, and schedules, *rides are free for now*
A dedicated mobile application is also planned for launch soon, which will make accessing bus information and services even more convenient.
From classrooms and Halls to the Library, Technology Market, hospital, departments, and other key locations, the Campus Bus Service is another step towards making everyday movement across KGP simpler and better connected.
