Yet each, in his own way, has found a road back to Kharagpur.

Some wise Person said
"It matters little what you got but
what matters is what you left for good Causes"

When you give to improve Education and lives of the poor and the disabled, you will smile in heavens and people will remember you for ever.
We have living examples of our IIT Kharagpur Graduates like Vinod Gupta, Arjun Malhotra, Partha Ghosh and many more who have given with full heart to respect their Alma Mater. Vinod Gupta founded Vinod Gupta School of Management and many other buildings in our Campus. Arjun is a permanent donor in many ways including GS Sanyal Institute of Telecommunication on the campus.
The more they give, more they get, from the almighty god.
Always think that your Giving gives you more and you leave a permanent Legacy
In my humble capacity, I have donated in helping my friend Dr. Partha Ghosh in founding The Partha Ghosh School of Leadership, giving scholarships to female students at our institute who are bright but financially poor.

With my request our worthy director Suman Ji has approved a full fledged ‘Vision Aid Eye Center in our Medical Center and Hospital’ in the Campus. Details are being worked out by our Teams.
By giving Donations, your heart and mind gets inspired and smile in the heavens after you leave this world.
One great English Poet wrote: “Lives of great men all remind us
And make our Lives sublime
And while departing leave behind them
Foot Prints on Sands of Time”

We the graduates of our great Alma Mater will leave a permanent mark by our generous donations and make our Institute the best in the world.
As a Senior Graduate of IIT Kharagpur ,I request you to make your generous donation to your Alma-Mater and leave permanent memory behind and posterity will say
Here was a Man or Woman who Gave
For a super Cause
God bless them

Giving back (?) or When Gratitude Becomes Responsibility

The older I grow, the more I realize that life is not a linear pursuit of achievement but an autopoietic journey of continuous becoming. Each of us is both a creator and a creation, shaped by the countless ecosystems that nurture our intellectual, moral, and spiritual evolution.
In the early chapters of life, we absorb. As students, we draw nourishment from institutions, teachers, friendships, and experiences that quietly become part of our identity. My five years at IIT Kharagpur were among the most formative of my life. They gave me far more than an education; they awakened a lifelong curiosity, a sense of purpose, and the confidence to imagine possibilities beyond myself, - enabled by faculty, staff and the student community
Over time, however, I have come to believe that every living system is sustained by reciprocity. There comes a stage when the privilege of receiving naturally evolves into the responsibility of renewing. My humble contribution toward establishing the School of Leadership and the Imagination Lab is therefore not an act of giving back, but simply life’s energy completing its circle. It is an expression of gratitude to the ecosystem that shaped me and an investment in those who will shape the future.
Perhaps this is life’s deepest calling: not merely to leave behind a legacy, but to leave the soil more fertile than we found it, so that generations yet unborn may discover possibilities greater than our own. This, I believe, is the quiet wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita—that we are not owners of what we have received, but temporary custodians entrusted with enriching the world before passing it on. It is my sincere hope that many of my fellow IIT Kharagpur alumni may resonate with this belief and, in their own unique ways, become co-creators of an ecosystem that continues to inspire, nurture, and elevate future generations.
