IIT Kharagpur Students to Change the Art of Living with Smart Homes Technology

A group of four techno-management enthusiasts at IIT KGP have launched an IoT-based start-up Alive Home Technologies to revolutionise the smart home space in India. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.

Alok and Poonam from the Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship, Ankit from Dept. of Electronics and Electrical Communication and Ravi from Dept. of Electrical Engineering are studying at IIT Kharagpur and at the same time working at the Institute’s Innovation Lab on their vision to build cutting edge high-end technology highly cost effective and taking it into the hands of lower middle-class Indians also, who currently only dream of such services.
