Deutsche Bank Centre (DBC) is Deutsche Bank’s investment banking center in India. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. DBC works very closely with various hubs to deliver innovative investment banking services for the Global Markets franchise of Deutsche Bank. The teams in DBC will be front office teams acting as virtual extensions of the business in DB hubs like London, New York, and Hong Kong.

Prime Finance business is a fully integrated platform that provides financing (including synthetic financing), prime brokerage and securities lending services to asset managers and hedge funds, as well as corporate and institutional clients.  Prime Finance is looking to hire a full-time developer who will be responsible to design, develop and deliver front office aligned software solutions for key business functions.


The person will be responsible for:

  • Building pricing and trading systems, including developing solutions to automate manual processes. The person will be responsible for the End-to-End implementations of the ‘Business Process Management Workflow’.
  • The person will be responsible for covering all phases of the software development life cycle- planning, analysis, design, development & implementation, testing & deployment, and maintenance.

On day to day basis, the work would require the person to

  • Understand and decipher business problem to convert into manageable smaller problem statements
  • Coordinate and gather information from various stakeholders for a deeper understanding of the business
  • Identifying opportunities in the current workflow to rationalize internal processes
  • Design an automated solution which is optimized and scalable
  • Develop applications/libraries for the implementation of the solution
  • Develop and design tables and databases required for the storage of the data


The ideal candidate will have experience within a financial services environment and should demonstrate the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing Java applications using at least one popular framework, preferably Spring
  • Experience in Linux/Windows including scripting
  • Advanced user of Oracle, Sqlserver. Any experience with KDB would be a plus
  • Logical thinker with an analytical mind
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present ideas and projects
  • Reliable, independent and accepts accountability
  • Should be able to work independently or as part of a team

Following would be considered as a significant advantage but not a mandatory requirement

  • Computer science, or financial engineering degree (or similar quantitative degree)
  • Exposure to workflow systems such as JBPM, DROOLS
  • Understanding of order booking, portfolio rebalancing methodologies
