Job Description

 

- Responsible for specifying and maintaining requirements for 5G User Plane

- Covering the RLC, PDCP and MAC functions

- Covering Beam forming, Antenna Techniques, Massive MIMO, Channel Fading, Link Adaptation, Scheduler Concepts, Power Control, PUCCH/PDCCH handling, Random Access, Radio Simulations etc.

- Work products related to system specifications

- Analysis of customer feature requirements for 5G RAN

- Interaction with standardization delegates on functions and procedures for the support of 5G RAN

 

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

- Masters in telecommunication, Computer Science/ECE or equivalent area preferred

- PhD/ Post Doc in telecommunication, Computer Science/ECE with major thesis/project in 4G/5G RAN & Radio aspects. For example: Beam forming, Antenna Techniques, Massive MIMO, Channel Fading, Link Adaptation, Scheduler Concepts, Power Control, PUCCH/PDCCH handling, Random Access, Radio Simulations etc.

- knowledge of mobile network technologies, radio system architecture, functions and 3GPP standards.

- Good knowledge of 5G/LTE technology especially the RAN and radio aspects

- Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in international multi-site environment

- Fluent in written and spoken English

- Good analytical skills and open minded

 

Qualifications

- Bachelor/Master in telecommunication, Computer Science/ECE or equivalent area preferred

- PhD/ Post Doc in telecommunication, Computer Science/ECE with major thesis/project in 4G/5G RAN & Radio aspects
